Abstract
This protocol describes an international multicentric observational study designed to investigate acute care delivery for patients exposed to a chemical attack. The study aims to address critical gaps identified in prehospital and acute care management of chemical casualties.
The study protocol was developed to systematically collect and analyze clinical data across multiple international sites, with the goal of establishing evidence-based guidelines for the acute management of chemically exposed patients.
Study Objectives
- To document current acute care practices for chemical attack casualties across international sites
- To identify variations in clinical management and outcomes
- To establish a framework for evidence-based guidelines in chemical attack response
- To assess the integration of protection, decontamination, and treatment capabilities in acute settings
